My mistake. I should give the man more sympathy. After all, he has a really hard job!
When Cheney was asked what effect 4000 Americans giving their lives in Iraq might have on the country, the Vice President’s response was:
“The president carries the biggest burden, obviously,” Cheney said. “He’s the one who has to make the decision to [...]

This came to me courtesy of my friend Victoria.
I’m not sure what I can say about this other than it just leaves me speechless.
First, the quote:
“I must say, I’m a little envious,” Bush said. “If I were slightly younger and not employed here, I think it would be a fantastic experience to be on the [...]

This is the face of addiction.
We are her enablers.
Sunday, after we got back from Easter in Toledo, I was hanging out with the babies in the living room. Jessie likes to take her pacifier out and play with it, then put it back in her mouth. All of a sudden, she stuck the entire thing [...]

I realize this is a family blog, not a political blog. I try to avoid politics here, since I know Mom reads this on a daily basis and we have radically different political ideas. I try not to tick her off any more than necessary. But I have to admit to being a political junkie (constantly [...]

…anyone except us.
The wee ones had been sleeping through the night. We were starting to catch up on our sleep. Life was getting better.
Then, last week, the kids decided that sleeping all night was so yesterday. One, the other, or both would get up either for a bottle or because they had “lost” their pacifier [...]

And not in the good three-day-holiday sense, either.
The kids got their 6-month shots on Friday. Matt had to work all weekend.
Jessie’s only reaction to the shots was to be kinda cranky on Saturday. Sam, on the other hand, was rather pitiful. She had a fever, was tired but couldn’t sleep, cried a lot and generally [...]

They had their 6-month checkup today. Both did well, athough Sam was really ticked off about getting the shots. Jessie weights 14 lbs, 11 oz, and Sam weighs 12 lbs, 7 oz.

Little Sam has reached a new milestone. Lately she’ll put anything into her mouth that she can reach. Anything. And now she’s reached the stage where she can chew on her own toes. We’re so proud!

Normally, I love it when the time changes. Spring is great because I look forward to it staying light later in the evening. Fall is fabulous because you can get an extra hour of sleep. I’ve never had a problem adjusting to the moving of the clocks. Until this year.
I spent half of the weekend [...]

It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.
Oh, come on now. Don’t tell me you didn’t expect to see that here sometime.
This weekend had its ups and downs.
Saturday we went out to run a few short errands. The weather was so nice and I was so sick of sitting around at [...]
